Why speech matters

When we are first introduced, the impression we give is defined by the way we speak.

Training in elocution, public speaking and accent reduction gives us the opportunity to take full advantage of our voice and the way it is received.

Received Pronunciation (RP) was once the Gold Standard in speech and now we find it is much more acceptable to have a 'modified RP' accent, which reflects the dynamic language we enjoy. While today’s rules are more flexible, it is harder than ever to be sure we are creating the right impression.

The UK Speech Academy works in partnership with clients worldwide to develop the skills needed for effective communication. Your tutor will quickly demonstrate and explain the exercises and techniques that will improve elocution and confidence in speech delivery. From wedding speeches to job interview techniques and corporate speeches, every training session is adapted to achieve positive results in your chosen field.
